Heading into Spring

It’s been a while since I posted on here, and in the meantime the Noticing Nature project has been growing on into 2022.

Originally planned to come to and end last year, demand from participants and referrers, and support from our funders has meant that the project has been able to continue through the Winter.

During the colder months I worked indoors with several groups, including Alzheimers Support groups in Trowbridge and Warminster and a newy formed group at That Meeting Space in Melksham.

In these sessions we brought the outside by drawing inspiration from natural objects, plants and flowers. Now that we are moving into March, there’s the possibility that we can be based outside again (fingers crossed!).

Last week I also shared my learning from the project at A Celebrating Age Wiltshire Artist Development Day last at The Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford On Avon, where artists of a range of disciplines came together to learn about CAW’s work, and share our experiences of working with older people.

If you’re not familiar with the project, and would like to download our Free Resource Pack, watch the Noticing Nature video with various activity ideas, or if you’d like to refer someone who you think would benefit, please follow this link to the Celebrating Age Wiltshire pages of the Wiltshire Music Centre website.
